1. Job offer is different from job contract
Job offer is basically the information about the job title, duration, salary, vacation and annual leave. While, job contract discuss the full terms about the job such as the working hours, holidays, terms of terminating the contract, end of service benefits, overtime pay if applicable, annual leave ticket, and many more.
So make sure you are aware of the complete details before accepting the job.
2. Think before you sign
Some companies may ask you to sign contracts that is in Arabic Language, so if you don't understand anything simply just ask for the English version and never sign. The ministry of labor requires that all the companies should provide two copies of the contract written in Arabic and English.
3. Holidays
In Saudi Arabia, there are only 3 holidays, Eid'ul Fitr, Eid'ul Adha and the Saudi National Day. Most of the companies are generously giving 4-7 days paid holidays for Eid'ul Fitr and Eid'ul Adha and it may be extended by the Royal Order. And a day or two for Saudi National Day and also may be extended by the Royals.
Not so bad after all!
