End of service benefits for private employees
For expatriates whose working in a company, they should at least complete 1 or 2 years contract to be qualified for the end of service. You may calculate the end of service here

Other conditions for the end of service benefits is stated in the job contract. Please make sure you always read the full terms in your contract before signing.
The calculations of end of service benefits may vary upon conditions such as who terminated the contract, why the contract is terminated and for how long is the contract.
According to the Saudi labor law the end of service benefits is calculated from the base salary.
End of service for household workers
On the other hand, for household workers, they should at least complete 4 consecutive years with the same employer to be qualified for the end of service. Completing 4 consecutive years will be entitled for 1 month full salary.
Yet, this is a retro active (taking effect from a date in the past)
For example for someone who worked for 10 years starting 2009, the computation of end of service benefits will start from 2013. So the 10 years will be equivalent to 7 years, therefore, the household worker will only be receiving 1 month salary as her/his end of service benefits.
Some generous employers are providing the end of service benefits every year after the household worker finishes the contract.
